If you had to describe Pilates for Life in one sentence what would you say?
Pilates for Life Ltd. is a welcoming oasis in the heart of Yorkville that offers high quality Pilates and yoga that will leave you feeling leaner and stronger.
What are the main benefits of doing Pilates?
Pilates strengthens the core and improves flexibility, posture, balance, co-ordination and mobility. It can also be used to improve fitness or as a method of rehabilitation from injury. Pilates can work for everyone, regardless of fitness level!
How often should someone practice Pilates in order to see results?
I suggest three times a week but Pilates is gentle enough it could be practiced everyday.
What are the main differences between Pilates and Yoga?
In Pilates we breathe in through the nose and the exhale is a forced through the mouth to engage the abdominal muscles, in yoga the breathe is in and out through the nose. Pilates focuses more on the core and pelvic stability than yoga postures.
